Late composer Nie Er's resident renovated

Mar. 12, 2010 -- Another old buiding being renovated is the former residence of late Chinese composer, Nie Er in southwestern China's city of Kunming.

The house in Yongdao Street was damaged in the 1940s and the 1980s. The final plan for the renovation was settled in May 2007.

Nie Er is the composer of the national anthem of the People's Republic of China. Now the former residence is undergoing huge renovations.

The work will strive to recreate the home's original flavor in addition to transforming it into a museum.
