Mar. 18, 2010 -- During current period of time, it seems no one could match the popularity of "Brother Sharp" and "Sister Phoenix" on China's Internet. While recently, a post-80s team posted an article on a famous Chinese forum and claimed themselves the wire-pullers behind the two figures.

"Dear netizens, you have gotten cheated by the stories of 'Brother Sharp' and 'Sister Phoenix'. Their stories were planed by a team, and we are the team and designers…"

The article that attracted many netizens' attention was posted by a netizen named "Exceptional Dream", on Tianya forum. Cheng Long, who posted this article, said he was the core of a 4-people-team in Shangdong province, and it was they who made "Brother Sharp" and "Sister Phoenix" so hot on the Internet.

According to him, his team started to pay attention to "Sister Phoenix" when she distributed leaflets to search for a life partner at Lujiazui, and then they posted her saying on nearly every influential forum. For warming up their posts continuously, they worked in shifts and clicked the posts and only slept 4 or 5 hours every day.

Regarding the popularity of "Brother Sharp," they felt totally surprised. Cheng said, they met "Brother Sharp" on Ningbo's street when they were tooling around the whole country. They took his photo and posted them on the internet by no special attempt. They completely did not imagine he could be so hot even surpass "Sister Phoenix" they well-designed. "We also did Photoshop work on some pictures of 'Brother Sharp'" he added.

Cyber-squatting for business opportunities

It is understood that the team had squatted all the cyber domain names related with "Sister Phoenix" and "Brother Sharp". A nd a marriage and love website named "Yu Feng Jie (jadelike 'Sister Phoenix') had opened services a week ago. And it is said that the website has more than 200 members now, and about 500 people check it every day.

Cheng, who claimed himself a post-80s leftover boy, said it was not their original idea to start their own business under the "help" of these Web celebrities. According to him, the four of them had tried all sorts of ways of starting their own business, but all failed. They lacked resources and money and even could not apply for loan. Then, they had the idea of using the names of these Web celebrities to promote their marriage and love website. Coincidently, a boss of an investment company in Shandong saw their posts and offered them 280,000 yuan as starting fund.

In order to make their Web site popular among netizens, the four of them shifted to working at night to market it among all kinds of Internet groups. At the same time, they had to work hard develop new programs and protect against hackers. Cheng Long said he firmly believed "Sister Phoenix" could marry her "Mr. Right," and it was one of the reasons they opened the marriage and love Web site.
