Brief Introduction:
   Gansu is rich in ethnic music that, “Originated in Duntuang, was characterized by the Silk Road, and diversified by multiple ethnic groups”. Composers of the music on this album have taken Gansu folk music as source material. It includes suona (a woodwind instrument) melodies, daoqing(chanting folk tales to the accompaniment of instrumental music). Xianxiao (a form of ballad singing), and yangko melodies. This album includes original folk and ethnic songs that reflect the unique culture of Gansu Province.
