Diversified lives, changing landscapes, and a cosmos of new ideas represents today's China.
The exhibition showcases 52 pieces of modern art from 31 Chinese artists. Organizers say this is the first attempt by the two institutions to produced a cultural program with joint conception, joint planning, and joint execution. They hope the works will help Americans better understand the people of modern China.

Director Fan said the exhibition reflects how metropolitan life impacts the daily lives and social relationships of Chinese artists. It shows American visitors how China has developed and changed.
The exhibition marks the 30th anniversary of China's opening up to the world and the establishment of cultural exchange between the two countries. It will run for four months at the Meridian International Center, a nonprofit organization for cultural exchanges.
