Chinese Sculpture

Brief Introduction:
In 1974, when an ordinary peasant was digging a well, he accidentally found the wood and clay figures of warriors and horses buried with the dead that had been sealed beneath the earth for two thousand years. This historical event drew people's attention to ancient Chinese sculpture. Sculpture has long been neglected in China as insignificant when compared to writing and painting, which were considered as classical arts. This program, however, unfolds the vast culture of Chinese sculpture. You will not only deeply understand Chinese sculpture as part of our daily lives, but you will also admire precious works of art that are equal to fine sculptures from the west.
