Brief Introduction：
Yongbulakang means "the palace for mother and son" in Tibetan. Standing on the top of the Zhaxiciri Peak on the eastern bank of the Yalong River, southeast of Zhedang County, Yongbulakang is the first palace in Tibet. It is said to be built for the first Tibetan king Liancizanpu in 200 B.C. Afterwards it became the summer palace of Sonzanganbu and Princess Wenchen and a few centuries later the fifth Dalai Lama made it a temple of the Tibetan Buddhism. There lie too many tales behind this 2,100 year old building. This series starts with the daily life of the lamas in the temple, telling you the long history of Yongbulakang and the reason for its high position in the heart of the Tibetan public.
