Brief Introduction:
Xinjiang with a population of about 19.25 million lies in the northwest of China, boasts 5,600 km long national border and a land area of 1.66 million square kilometers, 1/6 of total China.
In the vast Xinjiang there stand the Artai Mountain in the north and Kunlun and Kamakunlun mountains in the south. In the center of the region there are two basins- Talimu and Zunger. Xinjiang has plenty of No.1 in China, among which, the Bositen Lake is the largest inland fresh water lake; Takelamagan the vastest desert, Talimu the longest inland river and the lake in the Bayingbuluke Grassland the biggest swan lake… There are also many other places of interests such as the Aiding Lake, known as the second low land in the world just next to the Dead Sea in the Mid-east; the Heaven Pool, entitled "the gem on the Heaven Mountain" ; the diversifolious poplar forest, having the reputation as the hero tree combating the desert; the Kaner Well, the Great Wall and the Ling Canal in South China, among the three major ancient projects in China.
